Crepes

These yummy crepes will add a french twist to any meal. You’ll need to have:

  • 2/3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • about 1/4 cup melted butter or margerine

Preparing Crepes:

In a medium bowl mix the flour, salt, and eggs until smooth. Gradually beat in milk, and 1 1/2 tbsp. of the melted butter/margeine until well blended. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Turn the stove onto about medium heat. Put a frying pan on with a tsp. of butter in it and quickly add 1/4 cup of crepe batter to pan. Hold the frying pan and slightly tip it to coat the frying pan evenly. Flip the crepe when the edges start to brown (approx. 1 minute). Cook the crepe for another 30 seconds and then put on a plate to cool. Keep doing this until you have no more batter. This recipe should make about 12 crepes.

If you want you can eat these crepes for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert!

We have filled our crepes with jam, lemon curd, and butter + sugar! We also like to fill them with a creamy chicken filling for dinner.
